CENRO Bayugan is the fifth CENR Office of PENRO Agusan del Sur. It is situated at Purok 8, Brgy. Maygatasan, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur. It is bounded on the North by the Province of Agusan del Norte; on the South by Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, on the East by the Prvince of Surigao del Sur, on the west by the Provinces of Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental. The CENR Office is more or less 40 kilometers away from the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur and from Butuan City. It considers Bancasi Domestic Airport and Nasipit seaport as the nearest point of Entry. Davao, Cagayan de Oro City, Surigao City also render the same services but only serves as alternate route for travelers.

The area of responsibility comprises the City of Bayugan and Municipalities of Esperanza, and Sibagat, all in Agusan del Sur with 114 barangays covering a land area of 264,366 hectares which equates to approximately 27% of the total land area of the province.

With an area of 162,998 hectares, Esperanza is the largest municipality within the AOR, occupying 52% of the total area of the Office in which 16.48% or 26,871.35 has. is A&D and 83.51% or 136,127.65 has. is Timberland. 21% of the AOR is covered by the municipality of Sibagat. It has a land area of 56,624 has., 6.5% (3,715 has. is A&D and 93.5% or 52,909 has. is forestland. Bayugan City covers the other 17% of the total area in which 38.2% or 17,085 has. is A&D and 61.8% or 27,658 has. is timberland.)
